Who is Granny Rainbow?
Granny Rainbow/Arisa Victor is an elder of the Western Hermetic Wisdom Tradition of High Magic. Her knack for stating timeless truths in simple words and pictures makes her an excellent guide for youngsters and beginning students of any age. She worked for many years to create her book of Ageless Wisdom, which teaches the ancient mystic science of astrology as an expression of the Universal Cabala.
Trained in the Builders of the Adytum Mystery School, Arisa Victor has been a professional occultist since 1968. She was ordained as a priestess of Isis and founded a Temple of Isis, who was the Great Mother Goddess of ancient Greek and Egypt. Isis is very much alive in our world today. One of her names is Mistress of Magic and Mystery.
Besides counseling clients, Granny has taught astrology, tarot, High Magic, Cabala, and Goddess lore in private homes and schools, public schools and facilities, bookstores, and summer camps. Her students have ranged in age from 4 to 94. Granny holds a vision of a beautiful new world arising like a phoenix from the ashes of the old.

What Is a Rainbow?
The rainbow is a powerful symbol of peace and love. It is one of the most beautiful creations of Nature. Something special happens in the heart when a rainbow appears in the sky...in a spray of water from a hose...when sunlight shines through a prism or a crystal...even in a costume or work of art. If you feel the rainbow's "special something" in your heart, then you may want to come up with your own definitions and reasons about the magic of this marvelous blending of all colors.
There are two main reasons why Granny is completely in love with rainbows:
1) All the different colors are equally displayed in a rainbow. Each color is unique but it is impossible to see where any single color stops and another begins. That is because the rainbow is One, with countless drops. Humanity is also One, with billions of people. The rainbow is often used as a symbol of how all human individuals are connected in a beautiful Whole.
2) Rainbows are formed by a cooperation of fire (sunlight) and water (rain). According to Ageless Wisdom, fire symbolizes God, the Divine Masculine. Fire is hot, yang, and assertive. Water symbolizes Goddess, the Divine Feminine. Water is cool, yin, and receptive. A rainbow contains a perfect "marriage" of opposites.
The fire and water under discussion are alchemical elements that exist in all created things. We humans are learning to balance these opposites in ourselves and in our lives. At this time in our evolution, humanity has an overload of fire; we get angry and fight a lot. We need more flowing, forgiving water to help us relax. As a flawless example of cooperation between the elements, rainbows can inspire us to balance our yang and yin.
Gazing at rainbows in the sky or in a prism can be a powerful meditation. The rainbow is given by Nature as a special kind of spiritual teacher for humanity :0)
